How to use Samantha's lacy whites

I have Samantha's undergaments, I believe they are called her lacy whites, and there are four elastics with pearl buttons on the end and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with these, does anyone know?

They are garters to hold up her stockings!

Does anyone know how they work? There doesn't seem to be a clip of any kind.

You take the top of the stocking and wrap it around the button like you're covering the button with fabric, and then push the button through the metal clippy/loopy things. Unfortunately, mine weren't made so well and the metal thingies are all bent, lol. My mom taught me how to do it, she said she remembered her mom wearing stockings like that. At least it's better than pantyhose, right?

Better than pantyhose? No way!
Pantyhose were made as a convience to those garters.
My mom said she used to have to wear them and if you bent the wrong way they would snap really hard and bruise your leg, not to mention, then your stockings would fall down.

That's so funny, I actually DO like stockings better than pantyhose, they're all I wear now, lol, and I've never had a problem yet. I suppose it's all about buying them with crazy synthetic fiber garters that wouldn't snap if you took scissors to them, lol.

mayergirl- I occasionally wear garters too... but I like them with the clips. I think they are fun.

But if I had to wear the old fashioned ones everyday! I think I would go nuts. Sometimes I think pantyhose are a great thing!

(and my mom isn't nearly as old as Samantha- so her garters were a bit different, but pantyhose weren't invented until she was in about high school.)

I remember those garters too! [img]redface.gif[/img] I started wearing them when I was in about 7th grade, too! But I don't remember the elastic snapping me if I turned or bent wrong.

Anyway, I would like to add something to the instructions for using the lacy whites. I would suggest that, rather than wrapping the top of the stockings around the rubber button, you could also just hold the button and stocking together (stocking in front of button), with enough slack (stocking) above the button so that it won't slip out easily, and then just insert the stocking-covered button into the large round part of the "keyhole" of the metal part of the garter, and then pull it all down together into the narrow part of the "keyhole".

Maybe we're just describing the same action with different words. [img]wink.gif[/img]

When I was first became aware of pantyhose, I think that I wasn't too impressed, because they seemed like just fancy tights, and my experience with tights, before that time, was that they almost always ended up slipping down until the middle part was somewhere near my knees, which was very uncomfortable. [img]confused.gif[/img] I still have that happen with panyhose sometimes.

Yeah! I loved all your stories about garters and pantyhose, I've never tried garters, but am not a huge fan of pantyhose because they run so easily and then I just get flustered. Thanks everyone!
